About Sei Berach

Sei Berach is a menswear house from Jaipur, India. We make sherwanis, indo-western jackets and kurta sets by hand, in ready chest sizes or made to measure just for you for a small fee, for grooms and wedding guests around the world.

The House

Sei Berach was founded by Divyanshu Wadhwa and Siddharth Gaur, heirs to two families that have dressed Jaipur's grooms for six decades.

Jaipur dressed the courts of Rajasthan, and its workshops still hold the crafts of that era: zari and thread embroidery worked by hand, mirror work, finishing that no machine repeats. The House works with karigars whose fathers and grandfathers did the same work at the same tables.

Every piece is cut in Jaipur after you order, in your chest size or to your own measure, and delivered worldwide. The craft of a royal city, made for the occasions that call for it.

What does Sei Berach mean?

The name Sei Berach is drawn from two rivers, the Sei and the Berach, that rise together in the Aravalli hills of Rajasthan and part, one flowing west, one east. One source, two journeys: two families joined in one house, as at every wedding, and thread that meets, parts and meets again to make something intricate that lasts.

The Sei reaches the Arabian Sea through the Sabarmati; the Berach reaches the Bay of Bengal through the Banas, the Chambal, the Yamuna and the Ganga. An Indian name, from the hills of Rajasthan, for a house in Jaipur.
